If your Trezor hardware wallet is lost, stolen, or damaged, recovering your funds is possible using the 24-word recovery seed generated during the initial setup. The recovery process ensures you retain access to your cryptocurrency without needing the original device. To start the recovery process, you'll need a new Trezor device. Connect the new Trezor to your computer and navigate to the Trezor Wallet interface. Select the option to recover an existing wallet. You will be prompted to enter the 24-word recovery seed. Carefully enter each word in the exact order it was originally provided. Take your time to avoid mistakes, as an incorrect seed will result in an unsuccessful recovery. Once the seed is entered correctly, your new Trezor device will restore your wallet, including all your cryptocurrency accounts and balances. If you had set up a passphrase in addition to your recovery seed, you will need to enter it as well. The passphrase adds an extra layer of security and must be exactly the same as the one used originally. After the recovery process is complete, set a new PIN for the new device to protect it from unauthorized access. Your funds and transaction history will be accessible, just as they were on the previous device. To prevent potential loss of your recovery seed, consider storing a backup in a secure location. Keeping multiple copies in separate, safe places can provide peace of mind. Recovering your Trezor wallet is a straightforward process, ensuring you maintain control of your assets even in the event of an unforeseen incident.
